THE STUDIOS
We are located at Vendargues near Montpellier within the facilities of our partners Vendargues Studios and la Fabrique. Our 16000m2 of studios is available every day providing the resources to serve the needs of both producers and directors.
Already used on the daily series Un Si Grand Soleil, this studio is integrate news features to optimize workflows every day as required. LTT provides the know-how and a complete set-up from filming to post-production for both television and film broadcast delivery.
The Vendargues studio is at the cutting edge of technology and offers a complete range of products for all types of production. We have four 1100m2 sets, carpentry and painting workshops, decoration stock, changing rooms, production offices, HMC dressing rooms, backlots, etc.

VIRTUAL PRODUCTION
Whether on a green screen or on the LED device, LTT adapts its know-how and its technologies to each project, according to its specifications, its needs, its budget.
The teams work upstream with the productions to collect and understand the issues.
With the creation of animatics and/or storyboards, LTT is available to best meet the director's vision.
BLUE OR GREEN SCREEN
The VFX ON SET allows directors and camera operators to understand the special effects on set.
They are able towork on the global image in real time, with strong interactivity, between the two worlds, the virtual and the real, in the service of the staging.
This time saving is significant for finalisation and post-production, where records of rigged shots are a daily challenge.
Our services can be completely relocated to other studios. Our “préviz” rolling carts are easily transportable.
Thanks to today's new technologies interior and exterior scenes are enriched with real-time animations (e.g. pedestrians, vehicles, birds) embellishing the images for a lively and photorealistic rendering.
XR STUDIO
With its new STUDIO XR LTT also offers immersive filming. Equipped with 4 faces for a total of 100m², including 2 mobile totems, the LED device equipped with a Brompton SX 40 processor, allows 12K renderings, with a pitch of 2.5mm, and an intensity of 1200nits. With its 3D rendering farm equipped with 3 nodes in A6000, calculation times are optimized for 3D sets and of course 2D skins. Whatever the project, the solution is adaptive, in vehicle rouling, in dream sequence, from the institutional project, to fiction through advertising, the uses are numerous.
ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
AND CREATION
For a turnkey service and to meet the demands of its customers, LTT has since its beginnings retained artistic and technical talents in order to design, create and produce sets for productions.
Whether photorealistic environments (city, street, beach, forest), dreamlike environments (spaceship, space), natural environments with evolution simulations, LTT teams have a range of technologies and talents, made available according to the requirements of the project.
With photogrammetry to scan real environments, modeling or the latest procedural manufacturing methods, there are many solutions available to find the right one. These 3D sets will be usable in all contexts, whether in virtual production or sequences entirely in computer-generated images (CGI).
MOTION CAPTURE
Equipped with a VICON system, the motion capture device is a tool for capturing the movements of actors to use them in the virtual world. The uses are numerous, from the production of previz, to the creation of digital double animation or virtual extras, the tool can accelerate and enrich your productions.
PROVISION OF A CATALOGUE
AND/OR MANUFACTURE OF PLATES
To shoot on the XR studio, we can provide you with a catalog of "2D plates" and existing 3D environments. We also support you in the creation of your original plates, with a complete service from shooting to media preparation for the day of shooting in the XR studio.
VFX POST PRODUCTION
Thanks to its expertise, LTT also offers "traditional" special effects and provides dedicated pipelines for the post-production production chain.
From simple to more complicated effects, LTT is able to offer you a whole range of services to meet the requirements of your productions. Remote validation and viewing tools are also offered to streamline exchanges.
VFX SUPERVISION
Experts at your service, relocatable. For certain projects, we offer a VFX supervision service from preparation to filming.
WHO ARE WE ?
Created in 2018, the company LTT (Les Tontons Truqueurs) has since its creation innovated and adopted new ways of manufacturing.
Christian Guillon, a great VFX supervisor in French cinema, founded Les Tontons Truqueurs with the aim of bringing special effects back to the heart of the filmmaking process, that is to say on the film set, what today we call Virtual Production!
A pioneer in real-time special effects, LTT has therefore specialized in VIRTUAL PRODUCTION and has equipped itself with tools diverted from their primary use in order to INNOVATE A NEW MODEL . The ambition is to put new technologies at the service of creation. Thanks to the know-how of the Tontons Truqueurs from years of experience in fiction, LTT proposes to combine tradition with innovation!
LTT has an active R&D department to experiment new uses. Unique tools have been created by LTT teams to make life easier for shooting operators, such as the " YOU CHANGE THE WORLD " remote control, which allows you to make the most of the weather or almost... It's mean, to choose and modify in real time the position of the sun, the props, the camera, for total interactivity with the real and the virtual.
